Sen. Bishop Congratulates Mitch Seavey on Iditarod Win

JUNEAU – Sen. Click Bishop congratulated Mitch Seavey, the 57-year-old musher from Seward, on his record-breaking Iditarod win today.

Seavey finished the race at 3:40 pm today, breaking the record by nearly 8 hours. He completed the race with a time of 8 days, 3 hours, 40 minutes and 13 seconds.

“Old school rules; never count the old guy out. Congrats to Mitch and a hell of a dog team, and congrats to all the participants.”
