Committee Taking Public Testimony on Virtual Education Friday
JUNEAU – On Friday, February 24, the Senate Education Committee will be taking public testimony on the potential of increasing virtual education in Alaska’s public schools.
The committee has heard from teachers, school boards and administrators on this issue; this hearing will be focused on receiving input from the consumers of education, including students, parents, businesses, organizations, and other stakeholders from communities throughout Alaska.
The hearing will begin on Friday with students from the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District discussing their experience with virtual education. Public testimony will be held for the remainder of the meeting.
