Statement from Sen. Wilson on Dunleavy Admin’s API Decision

JUNEAU –Today, Senator David Wilson (R-Wasilla), chairman of the Senate Health and Social Services Committee, released the following statement in response to the Dunleavy administration’s decision to address safety issues with the Alaska Psychiatric Institute (API).
“I appreciate the Dunleavy administration and Commissioner Crum taking swift action to combat these important issues. DHSS quickly identified the limitations to the facility’s current capabilities and accessed the necessary tools and resources to keep patients, workers, and Alaskans safe.”
